Adrià Aubert Blanch
Stage director and violinist. Born in Barcelona in 1985, he trained at the Institut del Teatre de Bar-celona where he graduated in the specialty of Stage Direction and Dramaturgy.
In 2001, he founded the company Els Pirates Teatre, whose he has conducted most of its produc-tions. Among the productions directed are Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream and William Shakespeare's Les Feres by Shakespeare; Ronda naval sota la boi-ra by Pere Calders; La Mascarada, Els secundaris and Sing Song Swing by various authors; o La setena porta, Teatre de carrer, El darrer triangle, Gran Fracaroli by Joan Brossa. He has been stage director of some family theatre shows such as the opera Brundibár by Hans Kráza, La Petita Capmany by Tanaka Tea-tre, El zoo d'en Pitus and Peter Pan with the choir El virolet of Lluïsos de Gràcia, or various collaborations with the Clavé XXI project of the Catalan Orfeó Choir School.
Since the 2013-2014 season, he has been the artistic director of El Maldà, a theatre in the centre of the city, which has received several awards from critics and spectators in recent years.
Since 2020, he has been responsible for the stage direction of the traditional Sant Esteve Concert at Palau de la Música Catalana and co-stage director of the Cantània educational project at L’Auditori de Barcelona.
He has also been a violin and orchestra teacher at Can Ponsic Municipal School of Music since 2006.
His shows have been seen in renowned venues in the country, such as the Teatre Lliure, Palau de la Música Catalana, L'Auditori de Barcelona, Teatre Romea, Teatre Condal, El Maldà, Escenari Joan Brossa, Kursaal de Manresa, Teatre Municipal de Girona or Ateneu d'Igualada, as well as in various European festivals in Germany, Italy and France.
