Marigó is an artist who is constantly evolving and growing. He has directed and created projects in experimental, classical, and ancient music, as well as jazz, funk, traditional Catalan music, and theatre and dance, while never losing his essence as a performer, composer and improvisor. He has been a creative resident musician living La Pedrera (2016), in Atlàntida de Vic (2020) and this year 2021 he is a resident artist with the violinist Sara Cubarsi at the Zamus Zentrum für Alte Musik Köln in Cologne, Germany. In 2020, Núvol magazine awarded him the Castafiore Critics' Award for his artistic contribution and the Carulla Foundation recognized him with the SOS Cultura grant for the #BombollaSegura project developed by RAU Company founded with the actor and dancer Jaume Sangrà.
Marigó is a musician trained as a classical pianist at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMuC), with Vladislav Bronevetzky, and at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, with Irina Plotnikova; in his capacity as improvisor, he received advice from Xavier Dotras, Albert Bover, Emilio Molina, Juan de la Rubia, Michael Pisaro, James Fei, Evan Parker. His studies abroad have been supported by grants from CoNCA, CEP and AIE, and thanks to the numerous national and international prizes he has received as a pianist and composer (Eugènia Verdet, Ciutat de Manresa, Ricard Viñes, among others). He has received lessons from masters including Nelson Goerner, Elsa Púppulo, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Barry Douglas, Christian Sacharias, Paul Badura-Skoda, Jacques Rouvier, Claudio Martínez Mehner and María Jesús Crespo. Most of these organised and paid by CEP scholarship (Centro de Estudios Pianísticos).
He currently combines work as a performer with educational work. He teaches improvisation at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMuC) and at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu.
