With a particular instrumental staff and an exhaustive artistic approach, CrossingLines has established itself as one of the main exponents of newly created music in Spain. He commissions, premieres, promotes and records works by a whole new generation of creators on the national and international scene.
Based in Barcelona, the group has participated in some of the main national and international contemporary music festivals, as well as being a regular contributor to L'Auditori's Sampler Series cycle. Committed to the dissemination of new music, CrossingLines also makes educational proposals to bring its music to all types of audiences. With more than forty absolute releases, the ensemble has worked with Neu Records and Col Legno labels.
The ensemble has received the support and institutional recognition of the Catalan Institute of Cultural Enterprises (ICEC) and was the first contemporary music group to receive grants in the line of grants for activities of the priority orchestras , the most important support that Catalan institutions give to music groups. It has also received the support of Instituto de la Juventud (INJUVE) and the prestigious Ernst von Siemens Foundation. CrossingLines has been a resident group of the Fabra i Coats Creation Factory and currently of the Phonos Foundation, in Barcelona.
