El Cor Canta

BIOGRAPHY

El Cor Canta was born from the enthusiasm of a group of people to continue singing together after the experience lived in 2018 with the Canta amb l’OBC project.

That same year the association was formed, a unique choir for its birth and its objectives, which has a large group of amateur singers from very different backgrounds and that is opened to anyone who likes to sing.

It is firmly committed to support culture, to create new audiences and new works by contemporary composers, to make the music a tool for social transformation and to give singers the opportunity to live the great experience of performing unpublished symphonic choral pieces.

The choir is conducted by Elisenda Carrasco, Eva Martínez and Jordi Lluch and, at the beginning, Pere Lluís Biosca. During its short career it has commissioned and premiered symphonic works by Albert Guinovart, Salvador Brotons, Josep Vila, Ian Shaw, Marc Migó, Elisenda Fàbregas, Gerard López and Àngel Pérez.
