Fumiaki Miura
BIOGRAPHY
He graduated from the Tokyo Conservatory, his hometown, with T. Tokunaga and later moved to Vienna to further his studies with P. Vernikov and J. Rachlin. In 2009 he was awarded first prize in the Joseph Joachim Hannover International Violin Competition.
His commitments for the 21-22 season include his participation as a resident artist in the Royal London Philharmonic Orchestra, his debut with the Spanish National Orchestra, concerts with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, the Navarra Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, as well as a European tour with pianist Varvara.
Miura shares stage with orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic (United States), the Hanover Radio Philharmonic (NDR), the NDR Hamburg Symphony, the Stuttgart Radio Symphony (SWR), the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra (St. Petersburg), Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra (Moscow), Lausanne Chamber Orchestra (Switzerland), Warsaw Philharmonic, National Capitol Orchestra of Toulouse (France), BBC Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Gothenburg Symphony (Sweden), the Düsseldorf Symphony or the HR Symphony (Frankfurt), among others.
He has been invited by directors such as V. Gergiev, G. Dudamel, K. Penderecki, V. Fedoseiev, A. Orozco-Estrada, K. Ono, J. Hrůša, K. Petrenko, J. Pons, SM. Rouvali and T. Shimono. He has collaborated with artists such as Y. Bashmet, I. Golan, S. Kim, M. Maisky, MJ Pires, J. Rachlin and N. Tsujii.
