Lluïsa Espigolé
BIOGRAPHY
Specializing in the contemporary repertoire for piano, her activity is focused on the interpretation and premieres of newly created works as a soloist, chamber music and ensembles, as well as in collaboration with interdisciplinary and free improvisation projects. He has performed at various national and international festivals such as Lucerne, Strasbourg, the Acht Brücken in Cologne, the International Musikfestival Darmstadt, Sónar and the Mixtur, among others, or in cycles such as the Sampler Series. The Barcelona Auditorium or the OUT.SIDE.
She is a member of CrossingLines Ensemble and collaborates with various groups, including Ensemble Adapter (Berlin), Ensemble Ascolta (Stuttgart), Funktion (Barcelona), Ensemble Modern (Frankfurt) and Ensemble Plus Minus (London). She is currently a teacher of contemporary piano and chamber music at Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón.
She has been influenced by teachers such as Y. Sugawara, N. Hodges, F. Boffard and F. Hölscher and she has closely worked with members of the Ensemble Modern during the Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie in Frankfurt. Further artistic influences were provided working closely with composers such as P. Ablinger, M. Beil, B. Lang, H. Lachenmann and other composers and sound artists of his generation.
