María Hinojosa Montenegro
A graduate in singing and lied with the highest grade and end-of-career award (ESMUC), she was nominated for Best Musical Actress in 2007 and 2011, and won the Premi de la Crítica at the Butaca Awards.
She has sung in venues such as Musikverein and Theater an der Wien in Vienna, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Arena in Verona, Philadelphia Opera, Gran Teatre del Liceu, L'Auditori de Barcelona, Palau de la Música Catalana, Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Teatro Real and Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, among others, under the direction of Heras Casado, Sir N. Marriner, Bolton, Antonini, Onofri, Dantone, Alessandrini, Biondi or Pons. On stage he has worked alongside X. Albertí, La Fura dels Baus, Els Comediants, F. Negrín, R. Carsen and Ll. Pasqual.
In 2017 she made her debut at the Musikverein alongside Concentus Musicus Wien. In the coming seasons she will offer concerts with the Cappella Mediterranea and Forma Antiqva; in opera she will sing leading roles at the Teatro de la Zarzuela, the Oviedo Opera and the Teatro Calderón in Valladolid, and in the symphonic field, new collaborations with the Real Filharmonia de Galicia and the OBC in an absolute premiere of Joan Magrané.
