Born in Buenos Aires, she debuted at the age of 18 in the role of Despina (Così fan tutte) at the Teatro Roma in his hometown. Formed with Jaume Aragall, Teresa Berganza, Mirella Freni, Montserrat Caballé and Cecilia Bartoli, among others, Gancedo combines the operatic facet with the lied and the oratorio.
She studied the Master of Lied "Victoria de los Angeles" at the ESMUC, and has been awarded in several countries, including Argentina, Germany and Catalonia (Francesc Viñas, El Primer Palau Award). This year has begun the Season of the Gran Teatre del Liceu 2020-2021 with the opera Il Trovatore, under the baton of Gustavo Dudamel.
She has sung roles as Elle (La voix humaine), Mariana (Das Liebesverbot), Berta (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Pamina, Zweite Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor), Clarina (La cambiale di matrimonio), Micaela (Carmen), Kate Pinkerton (Madame Butterfly), Countess of Ceprano (Rigoletto), Giannetta (L’Elisir d’amore) in theaters such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Castell de Peralada Festival, Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, Teatro Jovellanos and La Faràndula in Sabadell. She has performed under the baton of conductors such as G. Dudamel, E. Delamboye, D. Montané, R. Frizza and J. Pons, among others.
At the same time, the artist is pursuing a remarkable career in the lied genre, participating in important festivals and auditoriums such as the Oxford Lieder Festival, the Schubertíada de Vilabertran, the LIFE Victoria Festival, the Barcelona Opening Spring Festival, the Palau de la Música Catalana, L'Auditori de Barcelona and the Juan March Foundation. With pianist Beatriz Miralles, she recorded her debut album in 2017 Cooking America.
