Polina Tarasenko was born in 2001 in Kherson, Ukraine. She began to study music from the age of 5 in the children's musical jazz group of the Kherson Palace of Pioneers. There she began to play many musical instruments, one of which was trombone.

After the Rotary International Children's Music Competition, Polina was invited to study at the Gnessin Moscow Specialized Music School in the main specialty trombone and five electives (2013-2018). In 2018 she enrolled at the Hanover School of Music, Theater and Media to study with one of the best trombone teachers in Europe, Prof. Jonas Bylund, with whom she continues to study.

Polina Tarasenko has won many international competitions in France, Italy, USA, Russia, Ukraine and Germany. She is a scholarship holder of Marous Foundation, Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund, Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now Hannover e.V. and Yamaha Scholarships.
